Check out Ujima’s next production!
Biop-see by tatiana de la tierra , an autobiographical piece depicting one woman’s solo journey through her diagnosis of lupus. As an outspoken latina activist and lesbian writer, she holds back no truth when sifting through the layers of her being, while her life flashes before her eyes. Her emotions and thoughts unravel in allegorical poems, memories and multiple girl talks with herself. Although it is a truth that is hard to face, Biop-see shares the struggle and acceptance of a woman grasping at life.

Painting en Plein Air — Symphony Circle
Our talented instructor, Danielle Saeva will be diving into the art of outdoor painting, also known as plein air painting. Using traditional oil paints, we will be learning how to paint light, as well as learning composition, form, and color. We will also be learning traditional impressionist techniques. This class is open to everyone, even if you never painted before! You will be able to see your progress by the end of the sessions. Inspired by Artists: Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Camille Pissarro

Our talented photography instructor Darron will be a guide for your photo walks through out interesting & scenic places in Buffalo! Develop your composition and basic photography knowledge while being amongst others interested in photography!

The Storyboard Creations summer workshop, shows you the ins and outs of a FREE program for storyboard creation. It is an easy drag-and-drop platform that allows people of all skill levels to create amazing visuals for teaching, learning, and communicating their stories!
The great thing about this workshop is you can continue to explore the free program for as long as you like!
Cool Collage Portrait
What is collage? Collage is a mixed media modern art technique that started in the early 1900s. Some well-known artists that worked with collages include Henri Matisse and Picasso, but really, collage can be made by anyone anywhere! Dig up those old magazines, outdated newspapers, and any other papers you can cut up. Grab some coloring utensils (whether you like paint, markers, oil pastels, or crayons best) and be ready to make a collage portrait of you or someone who inspires you. We will be looking at collage artworks, both old and new, to learn what features make an eye-grabbing, story-telling collage.
